Just When You Thought I Couldn't Get Any Girlier

I go and post this.

It's been slow at work lately. (Notice how many posts that I doing!) I try and mash up my music to keep me a little lively and not want to curl up under my desk and take a nap. Or take a two-hour, liquid lunch with some cocktails. At least that would make the afternoon more interesting.

Anyway, my little dottie from sorority life directed me to Total Frat Move on twitter and on the Internets. It's like Texts From Last Night, but with a lot less randomness and a lot more memories to college.

They breakdown frat geography, help you dress so that you're not confused with a GDI (That's God Damned Independent....but if you didn't know that, then you are one). It led me to my new favorite blog Sorostitute Stories. These women break it down. I'm not sure where they are, but I can only guess the South because they reference sweet tea.

With my head spinning with monograms, pearls, and polos, I was wishing for a trip to the South or New England again where my preptastic self would feel a little more blended in from the urban granola that Denver can sometimes possess. (Enter Boulder.)

While the logic used may not be how you get from A to B, the principles are there. You SHOULD coordinate your clothes. You SHOULD make him work for it. You SHOULD make sure that you have a "mom" in your group of friends. You SHOULD NEVER cry whilst drunk.

The girliest part to all of this? I wrote this while listening to Legally Blonde the Musical. Between "Omigod You Guys", "Whipped Into Shape", and "Bend and Snap", it really created the ultimate time machine back to the good ol' days of DDD.

  1. AHH love the shout-out!! Glad you like the blog!

  2. Hence why you should come visit us along the good ol' Mason Dixon line. Yes, we are on the boarder, but girls still wear dresses to football games (color coordinated with school colors, of course), everyone has an accent (even if it is just a hint of one) and sweet tea is available at the local KFC.
